An earthquake in Yangbi county, Southwest China's Yunnan Province, left 30 injured but they are now out of danger while 19 stranded tourists have returned home, local authority announced on Sunday during a press briefing.

According to the authorities, 14,122 houses in Yangbi county were damaged and 232 totally collapsed as of Saturday afternoon. A safety assessment is currently being conducted.

At least four cities in Northwest China's Qinghai and Shaanxi provinces, and Southwest China's Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, were jolted by earthquakes in the last 24 hours. At least three deaths were reported as of Saturday.

At present, food supplies are stable in the affected areas and people can secure their basic needs and access food in local supermarkets. 13 petrol stations in Yangbi are operating normally and have enough oil to ensure supply.

Vulnerable people, including elderly residents of nursing homes, have also been safely moved to relief tents.
