Nine killed after train hit construction workers in NW China's Gansu

Nine people were killed on Friday morning when a train collided with railway construction workers in Jinchang city of Northwest China's Gansu Province. Rescue and preliminary investigations are both underway as of press time. 

Victims of the crash were all construction workers, China Central Television (CCTV) reported. The accident occurred at around 5:19 am, when the train was heading from Urumqi of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Hangzhou of East China's Zhejiang Province.
