Expats in Shanghai receive nearly 60,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines: health authority

Foreigners in Shanghai have received a total of 59,892 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as of Wednesday evening, according to the Shanghai health authority.

The Shanghai Health Commission is speeding up protection of the residents of the city against COVID-19 by administering over 30 million doses of vaccines as of Wednesday, local media Wenhui Daily reported.

To make inoculation more convenient for local residents, Shanghai set up more than 4,200 temporary vaccination sites at communities, parks, shopping malls, and metro and railway stations across the city.

Shanghai's maximum daily inoculation capacity has surpassed 710,000 doses according to local health authorities.
