Representives from 12 Chinese painting schools attended a seminars in Xuzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province, on Friday to explore the future development of the art form. 

Dong Wei, vice chairmen of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, said the meeting is a platform for Chinese artists to exchange and share ideas and find inspiration to tell Chinese stories through paintings. 

The paintings will also tour the city to seek inspiration to create artworks.
