An international academic conference, with the theme "experience and enlightenment" of the Communist Party of China (CPC) governing the country, was held on Tuesday in Fudan University, Shanghai, as the exploration and research on the CPC's leadership experiences continues after the Party's centenary on July 1.
Nearly 100 experts from home and overseas participated in the conference online and on site to discuss how to narrate the stories of the CPC's governance to the world.
The CPC's centenary triggered enthusiasm abroad to explore and research about the Party's "theoretical innovation and practical exploration," and the Party's building and modernization of the country's governance system and capability as well, Jin Xin, Director of the Research Office of the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, said during his opening speech at the conference.
It's good to take the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the CPC as an opportunity to demonstrate a "real and comprehensive China to the world," Jin said.
As the first university founded by the Chinese people, Fudan University has been connected with the nation's fate and development and will look ahead to the second centennial of the Party, Xu Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Fudan University and Secretary of the Party committee of the College of Marxism, said on Tuesday.
Along with Chinese experts, foreign guests also expressed their views. Over the past 100 years, the CPC has shown remarkable resilience and succeeded in changing Chinese society, Saikhansanaa Khurelbaatar, General Secretary and Foreign Affairs Advisor of the Mongolian People's Party, mentioned via a videoconference on Tuesday, sending her best wishes to the Party.
Foreign guests also gave speeches through videoconference sharing their views on the CPC's experience on governance. The conference was organized by the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and Fudan University.
