Chinese netizens and experts said it is a huge irony that the US bragging of being "a beacon for human right" has broken after the US Air Force confirmed that human remains were discovered in the wheel well of a C-17 transport aircraft that was swarmed by hundreds of people when it took off from the airport in Kabul on Monday.

The C-17 landed at Hamid Karzai International Airport on Monday, August 16, to deliver a load of equipment to support the evacuation of both American and Afghan civilians from the country as the Taliban claimed control of Kabul. However, before the aircrew could even offload the cargo, the plane was surrounded by hundreds of Afghan civilians who had breached the perimeter of the airport, according to a statement by the US Air Force on Tuesday.

The Air Force said they are investigating the events and vowed to clarify the facts regarding the "tragic incident." However, Chinese experts and netizens said that the clearest fact showed in the incident is that the US image as a beacon for human rights has broken.

If any country or region still dreams that the US will provide help or protection, they are either too stupid or too naive, Lü Xiang, an expert on US politics and a Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told the Global Times on Wednesday.

Lü said that the incident is another demonstration of the US' collapse in Afghanistan.

Images and videos of the C-17 taking off have been seen around the world, with a mob surrounding it as it taxied in the runway at Hamid Karzai International Airport. Other videos showed at least one person falling after it took off.

The crew of the plane did not even bother to stop to clear the way and make sure people were safety, which shows that the US military do not have a basic humanitarian consideration for the people of Afghanistan, Chinese experts revealed.

"Why are they still taking off while knowing people are clinging to the landing gear? Human lives mean nothing to the US…SAD!" a netizen posted on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo.

"The US does not have sympathy and patience for people. They only have sympathy and patience for money and their interest," said another netizen.

Lü said the images, allegedly show people falling from the aircraft, remind him of the pictures shot during the September 11 terrorist attacks of people falling from the World Trade Center building. "Looking at these pictures, what is the difference between the US and the terrorists?" Lü said.

To the US, so-called human rights is something that could be abandoned anytime when fails to serve the their demands, Li Haidong,  professor at the Institute of International Relations at the China Foreign Affairs University, told the Global Times on Wednesday.

The US boasted about the help to rebuild Afghanistan with democracy when they entered the country, but in fact, they only brought war and disaster. And look how they behaved when they withdrew! It is such a huge irony with their bragging of being "a beacon for human rights," Li slammed.
