China’s stocks in environmental protection sector surge amid new policy announcements

China’s multiple stocks in the environmental protection sector of A share market and ChiNext saw significantly surge on Tuesday morning as top Chinese leadership stressed the need for renewed efforts on Monday evening to address a number of challenges, including environmental pollution.

Share prices of Anhui Huaqi Environmental Protection & Technology Co and Yonker Environmental Protection Co in ChiNext market reached their daily increase ceiling of 20 percent. 

A share market’s BCEG Environmental Remediation Co, Tianjin Motimo Membrane Technology Co and Xiongan Kerong Environment Technology Co have all recorded increases as of time of press. 

Chinese President Xi Jinping made remarks Monday while presiding over a meeting on deepening overall reform.

The meeting urged more efforts in paying close attention to the key areas and links related to pollution prevention and control, while concentrating on solving prominent ecological problems that affect people's lives.
