Massage parlors near the Universal Studio Beijing Resort in Tongzhou District said their number of customers has been increasing after the opening of the theme park several days ago. The staff are having to work overtime to serve guests including tired visitors and employees of the theme park.

An employee at Huaxia Liangzi, a Chinese massage chain, told the Global Times on Thursday that masseurs have to serve customers even if it’s after closing time.

“If a customer enters our shop before 12 pm which is our closing time, we still have to complete the services,” the employee said.

Another massage parlor owner said her customers included employees of Universal Studio Beijing Resort as well as people visiting the resort.

A visitor from Beijing surnamed Zhao, who visited the Universal Studio Beijing Resort on Wednesday, said she was exhausted after having fun in the park for a whole day. “If there were a massage shop, I would definitely go there and have a good rest,” said Zhao.
