Train kills a man who trespassed railway tracks in SW China, case still under investigation: rail authority

A train has struck and killed a man who trespassed railway tracks while running between Pengxi Rialway Station and Suining Station in Southwest China's Sichuan Province Monday afternoon, the train immediately stopped, local railway operator said on the China's Twitter-liker Sina Weibo account.

The man was tragically killed after being hit, and the railway protection net was found broken. Following an on-site inspection and disposal, the train resumed operations, according to Suining Train Depot, which belongs to the Chengdu Bureau of China Railway.

A local public security department is investigating the accident.
