emergency lane/ 应急车道/ (yīnɡjí chēdào)

A: Did you see the traffic news? It was infuriating.

你看今天的交通新闻了吗？真令人生气。

(nǐkàn jīntiān de jiāotōnɡ xīnwén le ma? zhēn lìnɡrén shēnɡqì.)

B: No, I didn't see it. What happened?

我没看,怎么了？

A: A man reported that on the highway where cars drive, many people try to save time when there are traffic jams by driving in the emergency lane.

有一位男士举报,在车辆行驶的高速路上,因为堵车,有很多车辆为了节省时间行驶在应急车道上。

(yǒu yīwèi nánshì jǔbào, zài chēliànɡ xínɡshǐ de ɡāosù lù shànɡ, yīnwéi dǔchē, yǒu hěnduō chēliànɡ wéile jiéshěnɡ shíjiān xínɡshǐ zài yīnɡjí chēdào shànɡ.)

B: That's not good. The emergency lane is for special use. Non-emergency vehicles shouldn't drive there.

这可不好,应急车道是有专门用途的,非紧急车辆不能行驶。

A: Yup. Because there were a lot of cars in the emergency lane, the ambulance behind them was not able to get through.

B: Dear god, That's dangerous. If the ambulance had someone who really needed treatment and help, who knew what would happen.
