A night show about a romantic Chinese fairy tale involving a maid from Heaven and an ordinary young man debuted in a scenic area in East China's Jiangsu Province over the National Day holiday, providing a special experience to tourists.

The show that took more than one year to complete creates a dreamlike nighttime wonderland through innovative digital visual effect and the superb acting of the performers. During the National Day holiday, the tickets of the show sold out each day.

The night show tells the story from the perspective of Dong Yong, the young man in the fairy tale, as he leads tourists to find the maid from Heaven in the five wonderlands in the scenic area. The entire performance is a combination of colorful elements such as dancing and music, acrobatics and multimedia animations.

The romantic story of Dong and the maid is originated from a well-known fairy tale in China - the Seventh Fairy. Audiences following in the steps of the performers can join in the happiness and sadness of characters to learn more about the classic fairy tale.

"We want to preserve the most sincere emotions - both ancient and contemporary - in this chaotic and fast-moving real world. It is real and alive, and it is a work of collective participation and experience by people with different views on love. It is a night journey to find oneself," Gao Yan and Meng Ke, directors of the night show, told the Beijing News.
