China Philharmonic Orchestra is set to present a concert in the Jiulong National Wetland Park in Lishui of East China's Zhejiang Province on October 30.
It will be staged for an audience with stunning forest and lake views as the background in an open air setting. High-tech visual methods will be used to set up a live performance stage with light, shadow, water and forest at the park, demonstrating Lishui's unique landscape and cultural characteristics.
According to the organizers, the concert aims to use music and art as a bridge to satisfy people's love of elegant art and create a new signature for Lishui's cultural tourism.
"We look forward to bringing the audience a cultural feast of fusion of landscape and sound," said Zhang Chaohui, deputy general manager of Beijing Poly Theater.
The concert includes a 150-minute program conducted by Yu Long, the chief conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra, and featuring bamboo flute player Jiang Guoji , violinist Gao Can, suona player Liu Wenwen, and tenor Wang Chuanyue.
"I hope to take this opportunity to present cultural beauty of Lishui and explore the in-depth practice of the form of Forest Concert in China," said Li Nan, the director of the China Philharmonic Orchestra.
