A month before his wedding, a 25-year-old man named Ahuan (pseudonym) went to the gym for a muscle-building blitz in order to look better in photos, but unexpectedly suffered a stroke.

In Ahuan's first fitness class, the personal trainer he hired gave him a high-intensity stretch. After the class, Ahuan felt dizzy and was frequently vomiting. He was then diagnosed with a stroke and underwent surgery.

Fortunately, the surgery went well and Ahuan was discharged from the hospital after 14 days. His postponed wedding was successfully held three months later in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province.

AHuan's attending doctor told media that people should not massage one's neck at will and should seek medical attention in case of discomfort.
