Vice Premier Han Zheng said China is ready to work with Russia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and expand investment cooperation during a video conference with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov on Friday.

Han, who co-chaired the eighth meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee, noted that the two sides should systematically plan new areas of investment cooperation in the next step and speed up the revision of an outline of China-Russia investment cooperation plans.

Han emphasized that the two countries should give full play to their respective industrial advantages and promote the docking of the industrial chain and supply chain.

He noted that efforts should be made to actively promote bilateral cooperation in the field of green development, which can be a new growth point for investment cooperation.

The two sides should also strengthen cooperation at local levels and collaborate on key industries representing the new development direction and work together to create a more stable, fair, transparent and predictable business environment, Han added.

Belousov said Russia-China investment cooperation had made remarkable progress in key projects since the beginning of this year, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

He said that Russia is willing to work with China to promote pragmatic cooperation in the investment field so as to achieve more positive results.
