Guangzhou’s Baiyun district suspended public transport services in risk areas after one new local COVID-19 case reported

Guangzhou's Baiyun district has suspended subway, bus and ride-hailing services in risk areas after a new local case of COVID-19 was reported, the first in the last three months.

All bus stations in Xinshi and Junhe streets were cancelled for the moment, the terminus was temporarily out of service, and the routes running in the region were suspended as well. Other bus lines passing through the area are not allowed to stop at the stations, according to the city's transport bureau on Saturday.

Moreover, the operation of online-hailing cars will be suspended in certain areas.

The Paitan Hospital in Zengcheng District of Guangzhou said on Sunday that a person who went there for a nucleic acid test got an abnormal result initially. The hospital has been closed and all medical treatments suspended. An epidemiological investigation was carried out and all staff in the hospital received a nucleic acid test.
