An award ceremony for the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Short Video Competition, co-hosted by China Public Diplomacy Association, SASAC News Center and Global Times Online, was held in Beijing on Tuesday.

With the theme of "Sharing opportunities for a splendid future," the contest involved a China division and overseas subdivisions for the first time, inviting participants to tell stories from along the Belt and Road (B&R) in the post-pandemic world. It showcased stories from people in different countries, and recognized the development and opportunities brought by the BRI.

Luo Linquan, Vice President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, delivered a speech at the ceremony, saying that the China-initiated B&R is an opportunity for the whole world. This year's competition had been warmly welcomed by friends from all walks of life since its official launch, drawing more constructors and witnesses from different ages, regions and cultural backgrounds to participate, he noted.

Ma Zheming, Deputy Director of SASAC News Center, said works from this competition not only presented impressive moments and touching stories from Chinese state-owned enterprises when building projects along the B&R, but also showed the support of local people for B&R construction.
