The 4th National Youth Photography Festival kicked off in Beijing on Wednesday. Featuring a total of 120 participants, the exhibition is displaying a vast range of works on subjects such as national construction, social issues and daily life.

"It is necessary to guide young artists to stay on the right path, encourage them to innovate, andsupport them intaking the lead and being the protagonist of their own stories. This exhibition will be artistic and enjoyable at the same time," said Li Ge, vice president of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and president of the China Photographers Association (CPA), said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Some of the artists whose works are being exhibited also attended the ceremony. They thanked the organizers for the opportunity to communicate with each other and display their works.

Since the festival was first held a decade ago, more than 500 excellent photographers have taken part in the event. 

The exhibition is set to end on January 16, 2022.
