On Monday, a girl from Handan, North China's Hebei Province, said she suffered a bone fracture on August 29, 2021 when she was doing stretching exercises with her private trainer.

Up till now, the girl and the trainer haven't reached an agreement and she is preparing to sue the gym. The owner of the gym, surnamed Li, responded that she would defer to the court's final decision on how much compensation she should pay.

A video shows that the woman warned the coach many times that the exercise was too much for her body but the trainer ignored her. 

It is hard to understand how stretching can lead to a compression fracture without looking at the surveillance video of the incident. Netizens said that experienced coaches will make an exclusive fitness plan according to the health condition of a customer to avoid making such mistakes.
