More than ten marriage certificates have been found by search and rescue workers at the crash site of China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 on Wednesday, according to a report by Nanning Radio and Television Station, a local media outlet in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

"The photos on the marriage certificates are clear and they all had sweet smiles. I feel so sorry for them," a local police officer surnamed Chen, who participated in the search and rescue, told local media.

"They should all be newlyweds. It's a shame to see a tragedy like this," one netizen commented on social media, noting that a lot of couples would have been going to Yunnan to take wedding photos.

South China's Yunnan province, where flight MU5735 took off from, is a well-known tourist destination that is popular for its pleasant climate, outstanding natural scenery and ethnic minority culture.

According to the previous press conference, the remains of the victims found by the search and rescue team are now at the Wuzhou funeral parlor for proper custody. As the search continues, it will take some time to identify and classify the remains.

It was confirmed on March 26 that all 132 people on board flight MU5735  ̶ 123 passengers and nine crew members  ̶  died after the plane crashed in a mountainous area of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 21.
