The partial collapse of a swimming pool in Central China's Henan Province on Monday left three dead and nine injured. Three managers of the swimming pool are under custody of the local police.

The tragedy happened at a hot spring swimming pool in Zhengzhou city on Monday morning.

Three persons died and nine were suffered minor injuries after the rescue work concluded on Monday afternoon. The local emergency, public security, fire and health departments participated in the rescue.

Some residents claimed that the swimming pool was built 30 years ago, which has not been confirmed by the local authority. China News reported that the admission fee to the pool is not expensive and many locals swim there on the weekends.

An investigation into the cause of the collapse is currently underway.
