
Customs officers checking frozen French fries for exporting
Customs of Jining in Ualnqab City, North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has supervised 3,675.66 tons of frozen French fries for export, valued at over 20 million yuan (2$.97 million), in the first five months of 2022, which grew 26.86 times in export volume over the same period last year.
The data was showed in a statement revealed by the Customs of Jining on Monday. The statement pointed out that the export volume from the US, one of the major exporters of frozen French fries, dropped significantly due to the impact of an abnormal climate and COVID-19.
Kaida Hengye Agricultural Technology Co, a local potatoes producer, has exported 3,491.8 tons of frozen French fries to countries along the Belt & Road from January to May 2022, under the guidance of local customs.
A total of 21.18 tons of local produced frozen French fries valued at 158,600 yuan completed export procedures and was exported to Singapore via Tianjin Port on Friday.
Customs of Jining vowed to further enhance the promotion of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and protection of intellectual properties to continue to support local export enterprise.
