An Exhibition of Antiques from Ancient Syria - Cultural exhibition

This new exhibition in Beijing is exciting as it shows precious relics from the mysterious Mesopotamia, an ancient region of Southwest Asia. The exhibition is going to focus on the historical relics of ancient Syria. It includes five sections that tell a coherent story about Syria's Stone age and Bronze age to the Islamic ages, spanning more than 500,000 years of time.

The exhibition is going to show 196 relics contributed from nine museums such as the National Museum of Damascus and the National Museum of Aleppo. Relics on display include statues of worshippers, delicate accessories made of lapis lazuli, and also a carved stone tablet from the museum of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which shows the cultural resemblances and differences between China and Syria.

The exhibition is being supported by the Embassy of the Syria Arab Republic in Beijing. The show is also dedicated to cultural exchanges between China and Syria. The show is worth looking forward to now that Beijing has started to resume cultural events after the pause taken due to the COVID-19 resurgence.
