Milan, a 32-year-old woman from Ghana, Africa, is now a teacher at an international school in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province. Her father used to be a fan of Chinese culture and always wanted to visit China. Sadly, he died of a heart attack years ago. In 2008, Milan came to China to study to fulfill her father's dream.

As Milan is fluent in Putonghua and good at singing and dancing, she even appeared on the CCTV New Year's Gala in 2017. Feeling the charm of Chinese culture, she and her husband traveled all over China and finally decided to settle down in Suzhou in 2021. She said that her family have been immersed in the city by visiting Suzhou's intangible cultural heritage and enjoying the local food.

Milan's story touched many Chinese netizens as she adds new meaning to the charm of Chinese culture. "More and more people feel the goodness of Chinese culture and settle down in China, which is also a manifestation of the inclusiveness of Chinese culture," one netizen said. "We all wish Milan will have more wonderful experiences in China."
