Over 30 killed in Southwest China quake

More than 30 people were dead as of 9pm on Monday after a magnitude-6.8 earthquake hit Southwest China's Sichuan Province, officials said.

Infrastructure including water, electricity, transportation and communication services was also damaged.

The epicenter was at 29.59 degrees north latitude and 102.08 degrees east longitude at a depth of 16 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
