A couple from Jining, East China's Shandong Province, who plays suona, a traditional Chinese musical instrument on livestreaming on social media, has recently become an internet hit, with over 20,000 followers online.

Suona has always played an important role in Chinese ceremonies in the countryside. The two folk artists surnamed Liu and Zhao have learned to playing suona for 20 years. As it has become more difficult for them to make a living and pass on the skills of playing suona to young people, they decided to do livestreaming shows. Soon they attracted many of their town fellows working in another city to relax and alleviate their homesickness. Now the couple can make a good living by playing suona, but the most important thing in their mind is still to carry forward the instrument.
