Beijing police has arrested an acting coach from a film studying school, who is suspected of raping multiple young female students. 

A 40-year-old male suspect surnamed Du, who worked in an acting and film studying school, has been detained after police investigation following netizens' accusation about his suspected criminal behavior, read a notice released by the Beijing police on Thursday.

The accusation came from an online influencer named Shi Ziyi, who is a student at the Beijing Film Academy (BFA). 
 
Shi posted on Sina Weibo on Monday, saying that Du Yingzhe, the headmaster of an acting and film studies school called Yinglook, has deceived multiple underage female students into having sexual relations with him since 2007. 

As a former student at Yinglook where a great many students got trained before getting admitted to art colleges, Shi said she had also been sexually harassed by Du, and one of the victims got pregnant at the age of 17 and had to drop out of school.

Du obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from BFA and is one of the playwrights for the famous Chinese cartoon The Adventure of Little Cap. 

Shi's allegation came after the sexual harassment case where Zhao Weixuan, a former student of Du at Yinglook who is currently majoring in film directing at the BFA, was alleged to have enticed more than 30 middle school students to film themselves nearly naked.

Beijing police said on Wednesday that Zhao had been detained for related crimes and they are further investigating the case. The BFA also confirmed the criminal detention of Zhao on Wednesday, saying it will seriously handle the case.
