'Three masters' arts show - exhibition series


As new Meet You Museum landed in Beijing's 798 Art Zone, the museum held a series of master exhibitions, featuring Picasso, Salvador Dali and Van Eyck, whose art pieces are now being exhibited at the artsy area. 

Among them, the art pieces of Dali's rarely seen Alice in Wonderland illustrations, and The Divine Comedy series of this avant-garde master of Surrealism are revealed to the public. Next to the Dali exhibition, another Netherlandish immersive exhibition that focuses on the art of 15th to 17th centuries will display 101 works from 26 masters.

At the same time, the exhibition about the Spanish art legend Pablo Picasso in Beijing is going to excite the local art lovers, following its debut in Shanghai in September. 

Audiences are expected to see a total of 202 authentic art creations done by the master. A rare self-portrait that has never been shown in China becomes one of the highlights of the exhibition. Beside these paintings, the show also includes over 40 ceramic works created by the master. 

Right after the Shanghai leg and landing in Beijing now, the series of exhibitions kicked off just one day before the National Day holidays. It has already become a most anticipated show that got netizens to say "looking forward to it!" on China's popular rating platform Douban.

'Romantic and classical' - music concert 

Amongst all different genres of music, classical music is always one that is slightly detached from most of people's everyday lives, but still an art form that brings listeners inner peace and power. 

Although Beijing, the capital city of China never lacks of prolific music shows, the romantic and classical music concert is one of the most recent events exclusive to fans who are into classical music. 

The show is going to be delivered by two different orchestras called the Music Fans Classical (MFC) and the M.Echo. MFC is a new band formed in 2015, which is known for merging popular music elements with classical ones. Different to more common chamber orchestras in the world, MFC has a regular composition of seven members and creatively adds piano, clarinet and percussion instruments on the basis of string quartet. M.Echo is also a young music group that carries a music academic style formed by four instrumentalist experts at violin, cello, clarinet and piano. 

Highlighted performances of the concert include artists' interpretations on music masters such as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Johann Pachelbel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Pascual Marquina Narro.

'Variation of jade' - music and literature performance 

The music and literature event in Shanghai bring local audiences to see the cultural echoing between China and West based on delivering beautiful music performances that merge China's Tang Dynasty (618-907)poetries aesthetics. 

The event has the main theme called "The Journey of Tang Poetry," which was delivered by Chinese music group the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. 

The show includes the famous Chinese actor David Wang as its major narrator. The narrator will be standing on stage to recite some Tang Dynasty poetries and also tell audiences about the history of the art form along with music originally composed by Western classic masters such as Gottfried von Einem. "Music without limits" is the show's motto.
