China as Saudi Arabia's main key partner is one of the Kingdom's priorities in the country's foreign policy and Saudi Arabia is very satisfied that it has a strong working relationship with China, said Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, responding to a question raised by the Global Times reporter in a press conference in Riyadh on Friday afternoon.

"We will continue to work very closely with each other to not just serve the interests of our country, but to serve the interests of world peace and global cooperation," the minister said, noting the two countries see eye to eye on most issues of concern not only in a bilateral sense but also in their view of a multilateral global situation.

China has become the second largest economy as a major player on the world stage, and China's everybody's priorities, the minister said. He noted there is a strong interest in building a partnership of the work relationship with China by all of us as seen during the just concluded China-Arab States Summit and China-GCC summit.

After the two summits on Friday, a press conference was held attended by Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

Journalists from countries including Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, Qatar attended the conference held at King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center.
