Would you like to experience the feeling of your heart racing? A scenic spot in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality has launched an exciting bungee jumping project, where visitors watch the bungee cord being cut before enjoying the sensation of free fall. This thrilling project has attracted many netizens to go and try it out, according to the dutenews, a Shenzhen-based news outlet.

Generally, bungee jumping participants are pushed off by staff once they are ready. However, this project has added a twist to the experience: tourists are securely strapped with safety ropes and suspended at a height of 50 meters. At this moment, the staff will slowly cut the cord with a knife. The operator said it is intended to enhance the overall experience for the visitors.

"When participants see the cords being slowly cut one by one, the impending sense of falling brings a more intense thrill than ordinary bungee jumping," according to the founder.

Many netizens posted videos on social media, saying it was thrilling and that the experience was all about the adrenaline rush. However, some netizens questioned the safety of this bungee jumping, said the dutenews.

In response, the operator stated that the staff only cuts the auxiliary cord, not the main cord that is secured to the participant. The equipment has passed safety certification and can support a weight of three tons, according to the dutenews.

"Before the visitors experience the bungee jump, we also check their weight and medical history. Those who meet the standards, ranging from seven to 70 years old, can participate," the operator said.
