FM responds to Taiwan authorities’ claim of detaining mainland vessel over undersea cable incident

In response to a media inquiry regarding Taiwan island authorities claiming that a mainland vessel registered in Togo was detained after an undersea cable was cut, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday, "I am not aware of the situation you mentioned, and this is not a diplomatic issue."
