On Sunday, the Philippine Corvette 36, without approval from the Chinese government, illegally intruded into the territorial waters of China's Huangyan Dao. The navy of the PLA Southern Theater Command organized forces to track, monitor, warn, and expel it in accordance with the law, Senior Captain Zhao Zhiwei, a spokesperson for the navy of the PLA Southern Theater Command, said on Sunday evening.

Zhao said that the Philippine actions seriously infringe upon China's sovereignty and seriously violated relevant provisions of the Chinese law and international law.

"We sternly warn the Philippines to immediately cease its infringement and provocations, or the Philippines will bear full responsibility for all consequences arising therefrom," he said, noting that the theater troops remain on high alert all the time to resolutely defend national sovereignty and security, and safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea.
