The Chinese Embassy in Ukraine issued a statement on Thursday via its official WeChat account, warning that the entire Ukraine is in a state of war and the security situation is still severe, and advising Chinese citizens to refrain from traveling to Ukraine for the time being.

The statement said that those who voluntarily remain in the country are urged to heighten their safety awareness, closely follow local security alerts, and be fully prepared for emergency evacuation if necessary.

In the event of air raid sirens, citizens must immediately seek shelter in designated areas and avoid complacency. The statement also reminded Chinese nationals to strictly abide by Ukrainian laws and regulations, behave appropriately, and not to take picture of sensitive military sites or spreading related information online.
