In response to a question that Japanese Ministry of Defence claimed two Chinese aircraft carriers have been seen operating in the Pacific at the same time for the first time, whether Chinese side can provide more details, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday that "I have answered relevant questions yesterday."

Lin reiterated that the activities of Chinese military vessels in relevant waters are fully in line with international law and international practices. China follows a national defense policy that is defensive in nature. It is hoped that Japan will view this objectively and rationally.
