Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian

When asked to comment on foreign media reports that Chinese tech, gaming and cultural products have gained global popularity, making China "cool", enhancing its international image, and a latest poll showing a steady rise in China's global favorability over the past year or so, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday that a more true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China is being seen by an increasing number of people. 

Lin said that more and more foreign friends are coming to China, getting to know it, breaking through cognitive cocoons, and gaining emotional resonance. This fully demonstrates that the pursuit of beautiful things and yearning for a better life know no borders and ethnic boundaries, and cannot be blocked by any force, he added.

"China will share more opportunities and dividends with the world through broader opening-up, more visionary innovation and deeper cooperation, providing people of all countries more opportunities to experience an increasingly 'cool' China," he said.
