The Chinese Embassy in Israel has once again advised Chinese nationals in the country to closely monitor ongoing developments and strictly follow safety alerts and emergency instructions issued by the relevant Israeli authorities. The regional security situation is becoming increasingly severe and complex, the embassy said in a notice released via its WeChat account on Monday.

For updates, individuals are advised to download the “Home Front Command” app from Google Play or other app stores. In the event of an attack, individuals should promptly enter designated shelters and remain there until the danger has fully passed to ensure their safety. In an emergency, they should immediately contact the local police and reach out to the Chinese Embassy in Israel, according to the notice.

Three land border crossings between Israel and Jordan remain open: the Jordan River, the Allenby Bridge, and the Yitzhak Rabin crossings. Travelers may proceed to these points at their own discretion, provided it is safe to do so. Chinese citizens entering Jordan must hold a passport valid for at least six months and may obtain a visa on arrival upon payment of the required fee, according to the notice.

Earlier, the embassy also issued a notice on June 14 stating “The Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Israel will be temporarily closed from Sunday, 15 June, 2025. The resumption time will be announced separately.”
