The Chinese Embassy in Israel has begun registering Chinese nationals for evacuation in Israel, and will assist them in leaving the country in organized groups starting Friday, a notice issued by the embassy on Thursday said.

The ongoing Israel-Iran conflict continues to escalate, with rising casualties and a highly volatile situation. The possibility of further deterioration cannot be ruled out. Many foreign nationals have already evacuated or are preparing to do so, the embassy said in the notice.

Considering factors such as the current situation, route safety, convenient customs clearance and sufficient air tickets comprehensively, the Chinese embassy will begin to assist Chinese nationals who wish to evacuate in organized groups starting from Friday.

Evacuees will be transported by bus to the Taba Border Crossing on the Israel-Egypt border and then enter Egypt. Registration is now open.

Those registering must hold a Chinese passport or travel document, including Hong Kong and Macao SAR passports, or mainland travel permits for Taiwan residents. Individuals without a passport must present their Chinese national ID card, said the notice.
