Two people died after a tour boat carrying 29 people capsized in lake in Central China's Hunan Province on Saturday afternoon due to sudden strong winds, CCTV News reported on Sunday. 

According to CCTV, as of approximately 6:00 pm on Saturday, 28 people were taken to the hospital for treatment. After receiving medical care, 27 of them were out of life-threatening danger, while one person unfortunately passed away despite resuscitation efforts. Through continuous search and rescue efforts, one missing person, who was a safety officer on boat, was found with no signs of life.

The boat was licensed to carry 40 passengers and had 29 on board when it capsized after being hit by level-11 strong winds in the Bailang Scenic Area of Dongjiang Lake in the city of Zixing, Hunan, at around 4:30 pm.
