US pop singer Kanye West's posted this on his X account on Monday, following the dissatisfaction from some fans and netizens due to his late arrival and early departure at a concert in Shanghai on Saturday. His team has not yet responded to the issue.

The concert promoter StellarAmberGroup issued an apology statement late at night on Sunday, explaining that due to weather conditions, the core visual elements of the stage and smoke effects could not be presented to standard.

"However, for this long-awaited return after 17 years, Kanye's team insisted on prioritizing artistic integrity. After emergency adjustments, the show was delayed to ensure the best possible experience and to minimize the disappointment for the audience," the statement said.

The company also thanked Kanye's team for persevering through the rain and doing their utmost to deliver the full-length performance and concertgoers for their patience and understanding.

Kanye's concert was scheduled to start at 7:30 pm on Saturday, but Kanye appeared on stage 40 minutes late with no explanation. The concert began without any lighting or stage effects. Then, Kanye left the stage early in the pouring rain without acknowledging the audience, leaving them to listen to the background music for 20 minutes before the concert ended abruptly.
