Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun

When asked whether more information could be provided regarding the US State Department's statement that a US government employee has been prevented from leaving China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a press conference on Tuesday, "I have no specific information to provide." 

Guo stressed that China upholds the rule of law and handles exit and entry affairs in accordance with the law.
