Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun
Responding to a question about the US Trump administration's release of a new artificial intelligence (AI) blueprint on Wednesday, which reportedly aims to maintain the American edge over China in this critical technology, and the US complained that many of US' largest tech companies "have reaped the blessings of American freedom while building their factories in China," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on Thursday that China has always advocated for all parties to work together to promote openness and inclusiveness in AI and to foster development that serves the common good, rather than emphasizing confrontational competition.
"We should pursue shared dividends of intelligent technology to achieve common development," Guo said.
