China is willing to strengthen communication and deepen cooperation with Sweden on the basis of mutual respect, trust, equality, and mutual benefit, jointly supporting multilateralism and free trade, and promoting the steady and long-term development of China-Sweden relations, said Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng when meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Stockholm on Monday local time, Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday.

In meeting with Ulf Kristersson, He conveyed greetings from the Chinese leader to Kristersson and noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Sweden. He mentioned that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf exchanged congratulatory messages in May. Under the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders, cooperation in various fields between China and Sweden has been continuously expanding, with increasingly close economic and trade exchanges and broad development prospects, He stated.

He also provided information regarding the China-US economic and trade talks upon request.

Kristersson expressed that Sweden has always places great importance on developing cooperation with China, firmly supports free trade and economic globalization, and is willing to take the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation in multiple fields between the two countries, aiming to achieve more positive outcomes in China-Sweden relations.
