The police of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday morning received a report from a female resident who discovered a headless corpse in a flower bed near 9 Kennedy Road in Wan Chai. During their investigation, the police found a suicide note in a nearby building and initially determined that the deceased was a man who had fallen from a height, resulting in the dismemberment of his head, according to a report by Nanfang Plus on Tuesday.
The case was handed over to the Wan Chai district criminal investigation team for further investigation, said the report.
Police officers rushed to the scene and found the body of the deceased under a tree on the roadside, with the head missing. The police immediately covered the body with a green tent and umbrellas and cordoned off a section of the road, according to the report.
According to Nanfang Plus, during the search, a domestic helper from a nearby building arrived at the scene and, based on the tattoos on the deceased’s body, suspected that the deceased was his/her foreign male employer. The police discovered the deceased’s suicide note and concluded that he had died from a fall from a height, according to the report.
By 5:20 pm on Tuesday, the police had found the “missing” head inside the deceased’s body. The police concluded that the head had become lodged in the body due to the immense impact force generated when the deceased fell, according to the report.
