Ever dreamed of savoring dishes prepared by robotic chefs? Craving a meal accompanied by live performances from a robot band? Or curious about stand-up comedy performed by robots? All of this awaits you at the robot-themed restaurant! Located in the robotics industrial park in Beijing’s Yizhuang, the restaurant officially opened on Friday, featuring over 20 robots serving customers, Beijing Daily reported.

Upon entering the restaurant, customers are greeted by a welcome robot and “Xiaoqi” — a robot who is proficient in seven languages. These two can introduce the restaurant and recommend its featured dishes.

The restaurant features two stand-up comedy robots modeled after renowned ancient Chinese poets: Li Bai and Su Shi, according to the report.

For customers fond of science and engineering, the restaurant also features a standout robot named "Newton," who introduces gourmet dishes using physics concepts, the report said.

Adjacent to the dining area, a robotic band comprising five musician robots performs musical pieces. Each robot specializes in a specific instrument —keyboards, drums, or bass.

During performances, they also sway to rock music, providing customers an immersive audiovisual experience.

The restaurant also features robot master chefs. The pancake-making robot serves a dish in just three minutes with authentic flavor. The coffee robot precisely replicates latte art techniques; the milk tea robot can complete orders in seconds without compromising quality, Beijing Daily reported.

Robotic arms, directed by a cloud-based AI system, precisely add diced fruit and liquids, and blend smoothies and top drinks with milk foam.

The kebab robot uses automatic skewer rotation and precision temperature control to ensure efficient, high-volume meat roasting. Its intelligent flame management ensures each skewer achieves a crispy outside and tender inside, bursting with savory juices.

To cater to iced drink enthusiasts, the restaurant is equipped with intelligent beverage robots, which can complete cup rinsing, rapid cooling drinks, opening bottles, and pouring with precision — all at the push of a button.

Recycling and cleaning robots patrol the venue, assisting with waste collection. AlphaGo delivers surprise prizes to customers at random intervals, to enhance on-site engagement.

"The restaurant offers a rare real-world application scenario for robots in China," said Sun Ling, the restaurant's manager. Reservations can be made through popular crowd-sourced review platforms.
