Regarding that Axios reported citing sources that at the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska, China was mentioned as one of the possible guarantors for Ukraine's security, a Russian media reporter asked at Monday's press conference of the Chinese Foreign Ministry whether China will be willing to act as a guarantor of Ukraine's security if a ceasefire agreement is reached, spokesperson Mao Ning responded by saying that China's position on the Ukraine crisis is consistent and clear, and China will continue to promote peace and dialogue in its own way, pushing for a political resolution to the crisis.

A source indicates that Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he was ready to discuss the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine, according to Axios citing sources. 

The publication noted that he named China as one of the possible guarantors, which likely means Putin will oppose the creation of security forces that would include NATO troops.
