Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated on Monday local time that he had accepted China's invitation to attend China's V-Day commemorations in Beijing and express his respect to China, the CCTV News reported on Tuesday.

Fico, in a video attached to the report, stated that he respects all sacrifices made in the anti-fascist struggle, noting that China and the Soviet Union bore the greatest sacrifices in World War II, and he refuses to ignore this fact or distort history.

He also said he had paid respects at monuments in Moscow, Normandy, and Washington and he would bring same respect to China.

Fico also said that a new world order is taking shape, and the rules of a multipolar world are crucial for global stability, according to the report.

China will hold events on September 3 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
