As Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic concluded his visit to China, he told Serbian media that upon the invitation of the Chinese side, he would pay an official visit to China within six months, Serbian state news agency Tanjug reported on Thursday.
"The meeting with President Xi was exceptionally friendly and cordial and I would say it is good news for the Serbian citizens that not only confirms our friendship, but shows what will come later," Vucic was cited by news agency Tanjug.
Vucic expressed his gratitude to Chinese leader and the Chinese people for their "sincere friendship" toward Serbia, in a post on his Facebook page in Serbian language on Wednesday following the conclusion of China's grand V-Day commemorations, adding that "China has always stood by Serbia, especially in difficult times. Serbia and the Serbian people will never forget this!"
Vucic arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for the commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
