The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Thai-Chinese diplomatic ties, a relationship based upon mutual understanding and shared interests. However, interactions between Thailand and China can be traced back much further. Exchanges throughout history have interwoven our culture and wisdom, while the dedication and entrepreneurial spirit of past generations have contributed to our economies and ways of life to this day.

"The Golden Jubilee of Thailand-China Friendship" this year has seen numerous commemorative activities take place. The conclusion of the mutual visa exemption agreement in January 2024 was also an important step to promote closer people-to-people exchanges. In 2024, Thailand welcomed nearly 7 million Chinese tourists while over 1 million Thai tourists visited China.
