In response to a media inquiry about a US House of Representatives delegation arrived in Beijing on Sunday and met with Chinese officials, the first House of Representatives delegation to visit China in six years, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with the US congressional delegation led by Democratic US Representative Adam Smith. "China has released relevant information, which you can refer to. China and the US have maintained communication in various fields," said Guo.

Guo added that China is willing to work with the US based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, and strengthen dialogue and exchanges in various fields with a spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, and to address each other's concerns through communication. "It is hoped that the US and China will meet each other halfway to jointly promote bilateral relations to develop along the right track," said Guo.
