Female spectator ejected from Shanghai tennis match for disrupting public order: police

The Minhang branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau released an announcement on Wednesday evening regarding a female spectator who caused a disturbance during a tennis match held in Shanghai.
Around 4 pm on Wednesday, Xie, 46, was attending a match of the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai at the Shanghai Qizhong Forest Sports City Tennis Center after consuming alcohol. She continuously shouted loudly, seriously disrupting the order of the event, which led to a temporary suspension of the match. After repeated attempts failed to persuade her by the on-site police, she was lawfully escorted out from the venue, according to a police announcement posted by the Minhang branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, via its official Weibo account.
Currently, the police have imposed administrative penalties on Xie in accordance with the law, said the police report.
The police reminded that, during large-scale sporting events, all audience should consciously abide by public order and watch the events in a civilized manner. For any illegal behaviors that disrupt the order of the venue and affect the normal progress of the event, the public security authorities will handle it seriously according to the law.
At the time of the incident, the central court of the Shanghai Qizhong Forest Sports City Tennis Center was hosting the men's singles first-round match between Italian player Matteo Berrettini and French player Adrian Mannarino, according to Shanghai Observer on Thursday.
