Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — October 2, 2025 (local time). The "Bi Sheng Printing Cooperation Dialogue - Riyadh," themed with "New Opportunities, New Cooperation, New Future," concluded successfully in the Saudi capital on Thursday. Enterprise leaders, experts, and scholars from the printing and publishing sectors of China and Arab countries had in-depth exchanges on industry development, capacity cooperation, and people-to-people connectivity.



Participants emphasized the pivotal role of printing as a bridge for cultural exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. They noted that printing technology, invented in China, was introduced along the ancient Silk Road to the Arab world, supporting the transmission and preservation of Arabic scholarly works. In turn, knowledge from the Arab tradition—including Arabic numerals and advances in astronomy, calendrics and medicine—flowed eastward, illustrating a vivid picture of two-way, mutually enriching exchange between Chinese and Arab civilizations.

The event was hosted by the Printing and Distribution Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, organized by China International Communications Press (CICG's China Intercontinental Press), and co-organized by the Printing Technology Association of China. At the event, the Chinese side presented a selection of premium printed works that blend environmental concepts, exquisite craftsmanship, and original design, earning high praise from attendees.

According to the organizers, the ongoing Riyadh International Book Fair features a dedicated China Pavilion, showcasing over 1,000 high-quality titles from leading Chinese publishing houses, offering Saudi and broader Arab readers a window into contemporary Chinese culture, innovation and industry practices.

Attendees agreed the Dialogue provided a practical platform for business matchmaking and project incubation, and advanced cooperation in technology upgrading, standards alignment, green and smart printing, supply-chain partnerships, and talent development, which lays a solid foundation for long-term, win-win collaboration across the Middle East.
